    Pancakes and a ZNotes Dilemma

Working with the EDUCATE programme, my Wednesdays have turned into insightful “ZNotes days” (as if all the other days aren’t…). But really, being around some amazing entrepreneurs and experts, it is an awesome opportunity to learn new things and re-assess my next steps. This Wednesday was a fully packed one too, starting with an intense hour-long session with my professor and learning some neat stuff about surfaces. Looking at topology and spaces from an algebraic and geometric perspective is definitely becoming one of my keen mathematical interests. A quick walk to King’s Cross, next on the day’s agenda was catching up with an old school friend and having the best…

    Phở and Stroll

Yeah it’s good to go away and moan about London but this city is one heck of a place to live in. A regular Monday with a late start (might’ve missed an alarm or ten.. oops) finds me working on a bunch of different things in the Student Centre with the sun streaming down from the glass roof. Wrapping up around 3, I stuff my stuff (noun and verb case of the same word – bear with me) into a locker and head out for a classic Regent’s Park run. I am meeting a friend for dinner and having to stick around uni till later, I decided to clock my…

    Getting in the Rhythm

Going away is amazing but the grounding I felt as I got off at London Bridge and knew how to get home without Google Maps – comforting. This week has had its ups and down (and a lack of exciting enough things for standalone posts). It was only a week of disconnection but it took some time to get back the visual and geometric sense I needed for my summer project so the early part of the week was spent revising content. Wednesday was a big day as I had to pitch ZNotes for the final step to get into the UCL Hatchery. After a lot of preparation and nailing…

    Shards and Bridges

After not-the-most-productive and slightly frustrating of days, I wasn’t sure if I deserved to join the crew for my second week doing the London Friday Night Skate. Even after getting back home and clocking in my run of the day, I was uncertain. Literally a few minutes after I should have left the thought struck – how many opportunities in my life will I get to blaze down roads with hundreds around me? Best decision of the day. Even the journey to Hyde Park, where I changed at Canary Wharf, bid well as I got to see McLaren showing off their cars: Canary Wharf Another great thing about this weekly…

    Rosmersholm

This weekend has been one of many ‘firsts’. You see, 3 years living in London and I had yet to have seen a live performance in the West End! To be fair, my first ever experience of the cinema had been there after getting lost on Guy Fawkes Night in 1st year and ending up watching John Wick 2 on a huge super-screen. But tonight, we landed some fantastic tickets for an absolute bargain and off we were to Duke of York’s Theatre. After zig-zagging through an overflowing Covent Garden (it was Pride Parade this afternoon!), we finally reached the decadent theater with its winding stairs and plush carpeting. Sneaky…
