Pancakes and a ZNotes Dilemma
Working with the EDUCATE programme, my Wednesdays have turned into insightful “ZNotes days” (as if all the other days aren’t…). But really, being around some amazing entrepreneurs and experts, it is an awesome opportunity to learn new things and re-assess my next steps. This Wednesday was a fully packed one too, starting with an intense hour-long session with my professor and learning some neat stuff about surfaces. Getting in the Rhythm
Going away is amazing but the grounding I felt as I got off at London Bridge and knew how to get home without Google Maps – comforting. This week has had its ups and down (and a lack of exciting enough things for standalone posts). It was only a week of disconnection but it took some time to get back the visual and geometric sense I needed for my summer project so the early part of the week was spent revising content. Do Talk to Strangers
Okay maybe not every stranger… but the thing is most people around you aren’t serial killers and probably think of you as the weird-o. And this sad loop of doubt means stepping into an occupied elevator to the top floor is an awkward experience when it could have maybe been an interesting conversation! I wasn’t a very confident kid growing up and felt nervous speaking to adults and strangers. But the experiences during my 6th form helped me break down the shells I was hidden in and slowly started developing the skills of being able to strike up a conversation and listen!
